The Festival of Lights and Trees – November 24 to December 17, 2023
The Festival of Lights and Trees is one of Northumberland County’s premier holiday events. Since its inception in 1997, this annual fundraising initiative has been a community favourite, creating memories and becoming a free holiday tradition for guests of all ages, all while raising essential operating funds for the Capitol Theatre.
Beautifully decorated trees and wreaths sponsored by local businesses, partners and friends of the Capitol are placed on display throughout the building from November 24 to December 17 and viewed by the public during the holiday season. During display times, guests have the option to purchase a raffle ticket and enter to win all of the beautiful decorations adorning the trees plus a Capitol Theatre 2024 Summer Season Subscription. The prize draw takes place at the Capitol on Monday, December 18 at 11 a.m.
Our annual panto returns for another magical holiday season at the Capitol Theatre! Featuring a hilarious harp, a gregarious goose and a whole lot of gold, this musical version of Jack won’t be like anything you’ve seen before. With shows for both the Naughty and the Nice, don’t miss out on this popular annual tradition!
