‘Spinster’ used to mean someone who spun wool. Experience the texture and softness of fleece as you work with our Museum Interpreter to wash, pick, and card wool. Then, you’ll try your hand, and practice the art of spinning fleece into yarn on a drop spindle. The program fee includes a museum-made drop spindle for you to keep, and a hank of fleece to use in the program to get you started!
Recommended for ages 14+. Cost per person is $45 including tax. To register, click the date and time below or call the museum at 905.683.8401 for assistance.
