St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival 2023 Season
The St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival is back for 2023!! It’s Shakespeare’s Birthday, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by announcing our season for 2023!!
We’re presenting four fun-filled shows with all the pop and fizz of champagne bubbles to compliment a warm summer evening.
Prescott. ON – Hello, I hope this newsletter finds you well and excited about the summer! Our acting company (St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival) will be with us in a couple of weeks. Ingrid, I, and the “Shakespeare” team have been busy preparing for their arrival and our 2023 season.
As the summer approaches, we have some thrilling updates and upcoming events to share with you.

2. Behind the Scenes: Ever wondered what goes on behind the curtain? Get an exclusive glimpse into the creative process with our behind-the-scenes features. From interviews with directors and actors to sneak peeks at set designs and costume fittings, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the artistry that brings our productions to life.

3. Volunteer Opportunities: Our theatre company thrives with the support of our dedicated community. If you have a passion for theatre and would like to get involved, we have various volunteer opportunities available. Whether you’re interested in ushering, assisting with set construction, or lending your skills in other areas, we’d love to have you on board. Our Volunteer Meet & Greet is planned for June 16.

4. Drama Camp (Ages 13 – 18) Our week-long No Holds Bard Drama Bootcamp is back, and we’re excited that Joy Tanner of our acting company will be our lead instructor. The week will focus on drama, Shakespeare, voice, and script-writing – all culminating in a performance at the amphitheatre on July 22. Joy has taught with Second City and recently starred in the Netflix series Locke & Key. To learn more & register, visit here.
5. The Charlie McFarlane Memorial Golf Tournament. We are honoured to be hosting the final Charlie McFarlane Golf Tournament this year. The tournament is in support of the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival, and the entry fee includes 18 holes with cart, dinner, prizes, silent & live auction and more. The Harold Norton Hole-in-One Prize is a Harley Davidson. I will be there playing “bard-ly”, representing Shakespeare. Come play a round with the Bard on Monday, September 4th on Labour Day.
